A Writer for Halloween?

Published by mrshannigan under Uncategorized Edit This

My kids have parties all the time. At their most recent Halloween party, I overheard my eleven year old copying a line from the Adams family when she was inviting her friends. She told them that if they didn’t have a costume, they could just come as a psychotic killer. They look just like everyone else. It occurred to me that writers also look like everyone else, or do they? I’ll bet we’ve got callouses on their fingers in places that others don’t. Hmm, what else? I think my hair style is really writer-ish. I have long hair and it’s always in a tight bun, secured with hair sticks (when I’m stylin’) and pencils (when I’m working. I’ve been known to sharpen a pencil just so that it will slide into my hair easier. So in what way are your looks affected by your writing? Pale skin? Pen marks at the temple from thinking deeply?
